Whimsey The Wheel. Keeper of Prizes

Long ago, before the Hollow brimmed with laughter, there was an adventurer named Windsor. He was clever, restless, and always searching for treasures to fill his pockets. One evening, his wandering feet carried him into Oddity’s Curiosities, where shelves gleamed with the wonders she had collected.

Among them were two trinkets most dear to Oddity’s heart.
The first was a pig-shaped charm, a gift from her dearest friend Snape the Psychic Pig, who told her it carried “a fortune of friendship.”

The second was a duck-shaped charm, given to Oddity by a mysterious traveler she once met, a wandering duck whose gift was meant as a token of trust.

These were not just curiosities. They were memories, friendships, pieces of her story.

But Windsor, seeing only shininess and value, slipped them both into his pocket and carried on.

When Oddity discovered her loss, sorrow filled her heart. She told her friends, Sage the Herbalist and Amethyst the Enchantress, and together they sought Windsor and asked him kindly to return what he had taken.

But Windsor only laughed.

“I’m not listening to a pair of rabbits,” he scoffed.

The Hollow does not suffer cruelty, nor scorn for its children. Its roots stirred. Its winds gathered. And to Amethyst and Sage, the Hollow whispered:

“Let him learn to give.”

With a swirl of light and leaves, Amethyst drew upon the stars while Sage called upon the earth. The Hollow’s magic wrapped around Windsor, binding him to a fate he could not escape. His name bent, his body reshaped, and he was remade into a wheel bound to kindness, Whimsey. His rim bore glowing runes. His hub shone with eyes that could no longer look away from those before him.

From the two stolen charms, the Hollow wove their magic into a thousand echoes, which became the pig and duck tokens, each one carries a fragment of what Windsor stole, a shard of Oddity’s Curiosity. Yet the seekers may not keep them, for they must be returned.

Beside Whimsey stands the Jar of Curiosity, born from the Hollow itself. Each time a seeker places their token into the jar, it glows faintly, as though another piece of Oddity’s sorrow has been mended. Only then will Whimsey spin, and in spinning, he must grant a prize.

For this is the law of his magic:

  • Kindness in, granting prizes.

  • One token, one spin, one gift.

  • The token must return to the Jar of Curiosity.

  • No seeker leaves empty-handed.

Thus Windsor the adventurer became Whimsey the Wheel, Keeper of Prizes.
Thus a loss became a fountain of giving, and Oddity’s sorrow turned into smiles.
